ok, i read it and again you are missing the point...you are always going to find reasons for raising taxes...liberals/democrats have tons of reasons. That is not the answer...it's called less government, less spending, less government programs, etc. You don't think that Huckleberry will find a number of problems with the US that will need more money and government programs to fix...his record speaks for itself and that is why he isn't known as a conservative (every real conservative detests the man, limbaugh, hannity, O'reilly, Coulter, etc, etc. ) so instead he plays the religion card... worked until people started looking at and hearing about his "conservative record." His 15-20% lead is gone, and he is now in a statistical tie with Romney in Iowa... his poll numbers are dropping and will continue to drop as more and more people check him out. Call it what you will, but Huckabee needs more than "I am a Christian leader" rhetoric to get him anywhere...if he doesn't take Iowa he is one and done.

He's a nanny state, illegal coddling, big government RINO who desires to inflict the power of the state on the individual for their own good. Based on his record and his statements that is simple fact. He's a nannyist thug and some unholy amalgam of Bill Clinton and Jimmy Carter. The fact that that he, captain underoos, 911 and the unbalanced enemy of free speech McQueeg are leading in the polls is symptomatic of what is wrong with the republican party. They've lost their collective minds. The religious wing of the party in particular have lost their minds. They've been stabbed in the back by a slick talking GWB and now they're falling for the same thing with Hucksterbee. The republicans will no doubt end up nominating one of these misfits and then stand around looking shocked when they find out they've been conned yet again. One seriously wonders if they even know what they believe in anymore. It sure isn't limited government, sensible foreign policy, lower taxes and a return to constitutional government.

Oh well, they don't call them The Stupid Party for nothing. At least the reign of Empress Rodhamus Maximus will be interesting when she assumes her throne and gets to work with her new PATRIOT act powers the congress and Dear Leader so helpfully provided. Ha! You thought she was bad with FBI files. Wait until she has at her disposal the new internal security apparatus.

Uh, didn't Reagan raise taxes? Didn't Bush Sr raise taxes? Did not the federal bureaucracy increase during these men's presidencies?

I agree, limited government is the key, but unless you are looking back to Calvin Coolidge, it's hard to find a president, D or R, that didn't increase the federal bureaucracy while they were in office.

NO, REAGAN (for the last time) did not raise taxes! He LOWERED taxes, slashing them by nearly HALF, betting on increased new business and thus more tax receipts. It worked; he was a genius. No, Reagan DID NOT RAISE TAXES, HE CUT TAXES! For the last time....
